Feldon Valley Golf Club

Feldon Valley Redevelopment Begins...

Looking out over the Cotswold Hills, it is clear to see why golfers love coming to Feldon Valley.  Nestled in the glorious countryside, the 18 hole, 6230 yard par 71 golf course has been an attraction to both locals and visitors for many years, travelling from further afield, to play on the picturesque and challenging golf course whilst enjoying stunning views of the Cotswolds.

Purchased by new owners in 2013, the club seen substantial improvements to the golf course which has been well received by the players,  and increased membership and visitor rates substantially.  Earlier this year, the greenkeepers were rehoused in their brand new greenkeeping sheds, a 6 week project over winter and enduring the unpredictable British climate in the process.  The result is a building to be proud of.

On 22nd May 2017, the third phase of Feldon Valley’s redevelopment began.  Stepnell came on site with their workforce, portacabins and endless supply of machinery, ready to bring Feldon Valley in to a new era; strengthening our community and embracing our motto of Golf – Community – Nature.  Work commenced on the 13 bedroom hotel, 4 lodges and refurbishment and extension of the clubhouse, creating a social hub and bringing people from all over the country to the Cotswolds to enjoy what this beautiful area has to offer.

This redevelopment comes with one purpose in mind; designing high quality, attractive accommodation, and social areas, beautifully decorated to reflect Cotswold surroundings and style.  Where possible Feldon Valley will be using local suppliers, and this also stretches to exterior design.  Within our golf course will be an ‘ecology island’, making use of the eyesore that once housed the greenkeepers sheds.  This will become a beautiful ecology island to support our local wildlife including butterflies, honey bees and birds, for our visitors, walkers and golfers to enjoy.

This is a huge and exciting project for the Feldon Valley team, with completion set for Spring 2018.  With this project now in full swing, golfers are still enjoying the peace and attraction of Feldon Valley Club.  Looking out at the 9th tee, watching play in progress, the yellow dumper truck drives past, with a gentle reminder that change is on its way.
